For rooms with a comedy night

The room empties at midnight.
The clip still sells Friday night.

Cut from the night itself, for everyone who wasn’t in the room.

a different job

A club’s clips aren’t a comedian’s clips.

A comedian is building a following that travels. A club is filling a specific room on a specific date, with a lineup that changes every week, for an audience that mostly lives 20 minutes away.

So we cut them differently.

  • Moments that show the room is full.
  • Reactions that read as a good night out rather than a good joke.
  • The kind of clip where someone checks who’s on Friday.

how much of your week this takes

Less than you’d think, and you get to choose how much.

Every clip

You can be in the loop on every clip. We send a shortlist, you pick the ones you want.

Once

Or you can be in it once, tell us what the room sounds like when it’s working, and let us choose from then on.

Feedback goes in one place, on the clip, at the timestamp, in Frame.io. Not buried in an email thread three replies deep.

Nobody who books a comedy club has a spare afternoon to adjudicate clip selections.

what it looks like

Every week.

You send the week’s footage. The first 5 clips come back in 4 to 5 business days, in time to sell the next show.

Per run.

A showcase, a festival week, a headliner you want cut properly.

Your name on every clip.

Your logo, and the comic’s name and handle at the bottom. A clip that travels should say where it was filmed.

Your comedians keep their own.

If someone on the lineup wants their set cut for themselves, that’s between us and them. It doesn’t come out of your count.

That last one matters. A club is a room full of people who each need this, and none of them are its competition.

what we need from you

Footage and a lineup. That’s it.

A phone at the back of the room is enough to start. Multi-cam is nice and we’ll use it properly if you have it.

A Drive folder is how it reaches us. The whole night in one drop, or comic by comic, whichever you already do.

We watch the sets ourselves, so you don’t have to mark anything up or tell us where the laughs were. If you already know which bits you want, send timestamps and we’ll work from those instead.

Tell us if anyone on the lineup would rather not be posted. Easier to know before we cut than after.

if you’ve already got someone

Most rooms do. We work alongside them.

Overflow is usually where we start. The festival week nobody has time for, the special that needs turning around faster than one person can manage, the 4 months of footage from before the current setup existed.

Extra capacity on top of whatever you already run. What happens after that is up to you.

about the room

We only do stand-up.

That means we know what a compere is doing when they’re stalling for a late act, why the third laugh in a run is usually the one that clips, and when crowd work is the whole thing rather than the filler.

It also means we’re not learning your format on your footage.

Send us one night.

We’ll come back with what we’d cut and what it would cost.
